A finishing piece with real presence — keep it dry, keep it conditioned.

Never machine wash — wipe the leather with a soft, dry or barely-damp cloth.
Brush the horsehair gently in one direction; keep it away from water and heat.
Condition the cow-leather backing occasionally so it doesn't dry or crack.
Wipe the metal buckle dry after wear to stop tarnish.
Roll, don't fold, for storage; keep it out of direct sun.
